This Methodology View helps you to learn about how SCORE Adaptive Bridges implements the OMG Model Driven Architecture (MDA) as applied to integration, a methodology we call Model Driven Legacy Integration™:
- We start with a high level introduction to the OMG Model Driven Architecture (MDA) with its platform independent models (PIMs) and platform specific models (PSMs).
- The next step is to introduce the MDA Transformation Pattern and its use of generators to transform PIMs into PSMs and then into code.
- We then move onto the OMG Enterprise Distributed Object Computing (EDOC) standard and its key components Enterprise Collaboration Architecture (ECA) and Component Collaboration Architecture (CCA). This standard forms the foundation for implementing MDA for integration.
- We then present Model Driven Legacy Integration, which is the implementation of MDA for integration with SCORE Adaptive Bridges.
- Finally we look at some detailed examples of Vertical Integration and Horizontal Integration come next, showing the detailed MDLI steps used to build adaptive services.

Not sure where to start?
To learn about the OMG standards implemented by SCORE Adaptive Bridges please start with OMG Model Driven Architecture (MDA) and then move on to the MDA Transformation Pattern. The OMG Enterprise Distributed Object Computing (EDOC) standard explains the background to composition. If you are already familiar with the OMG standards the we suggest you start with Model Driven Legacy Integration to learn about how SCORE Adaptive Bridges implements OMG MDA. For a more detailed explanation of MDLI why not have a look at the examples for Vertical Integration and Horizontal Integration.
